Veterans & First Responders
You've Carried Enough. Let Us Help.
Specialized addiction counseling for those who have served — veterans, active-duty service members, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS professionals.
We Understand Your World
This Isn't Ordinary Counseling
Service changes you. The things you've seen, the decisions you've made, the weight you carry — they don't disappear when the shift ends or the deployment is over. And for many veterans and first responders, substances become a way to manage what can't be talked about.
We know the culture. We know the stigma around asking for help. We know that "just talk to someone" sounds hollow when the people around you have never been where you've been.
Our team includes counselors with direct experience working in VA settings, embedded with National Guard units, and alongside first responder agencies. We don't need you to explain your world. We already understand it.
Unique Challenges
What We See — and What We Address
Veterans and first responders face a distinct set of pressures that shape how addiction develops and how recovery needs to be approached.
Hypervigilance & Stress
Constant threat-readiness doesn't switch off. Substances often become a way to quiet a nervous system that was trained to stay on alert.
Trauma & PTSD
Exposure to traumatic events — in combat, on the job, or both — is deeply connected to substance use. We treat addiction and trauma together, not separately.
Stigma & Silence
In high-performance cultures, asking for help can feel like weakness. We create a space where that barrier doesn't exist — no judgment, no pressure, no shame.
Reintegration
Returning to civilian life after service — or stepping back from years of emergency response — can leave people without the structure and purpose that defined them. We help you rebuild.
Chronic Pain & Injury
Physical injuries sustained in service often lead to prescription medication use that can develop into dependency. We address the full picture.
Family Strain
Addiction in service members and first responders affects the whole family. We offer support for partners and family members navigating this alongside you.
Who We Serve
Built for Those Who Serve
Military Veterans
All branches, all eras. Whether you served in Vietnam, the Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere in between.
Active-Duty Service Members
Confidential support for those currently serving, including National Guard and Reserve members.
Law Enforcement
Officers, detectives, corrections staff, and federal agents — we understand the weight of the badge.
Firefighters & EMS
Career and volunteer firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs who have given everything to their communities.
Dispatchers & Support Staff
The people behind the scenes who absorb secondary trauma every shift — your service counts too.
Family Members
Spouses, partners, children, and parents of service members and first responders navigating addiction in their family.
Our Approach
Treatment That Respects Your Service
We use evidence-based modalities proven effective with veteran and first responder populations — adapted to the culture, the communication style, and the specific challenges of service.
Trauma-Informed CBT
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy adapted for trauma exposure — addressing the thought patterns and behaviors that connect service experiences to substance use.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is one of the most effective evidence-based treatments for PTSD and trauma. We have community partners that can provide EMDR services if needed.
Motivational Interviewing
A collaborative, non-confrontational approach that meets you where you are and builds on your own reasons for change — without pressure.
Peer Support Integration
We connect clients with peer support specialists who have lived experience in military or first responder service — because sometimes the most powerful thing is talking to someone who's been there.
